His Holiness the Dalai Lama joins esteemed scientists Richard Somerville and Veerabhadran Ramanathan at UC San Diego to discuss the need for humanitarian values and universal responsibility in responding to the impacts of climate change on communities and ecosystems. This lecture is part of the Dalai Lama’s “Compassion without Borders” symposium in San Diego.

  3. Very true. Completely agreed that we should planet is our home and we need to take care.

    We should pass on this to maximum people to get people aware and start acting.

    The Dali Lama made many great points. He’s right that this planet is our home and we have to take care of it, and we have to start with education. Making people aware is the key to getting people to participate. And we all need to participate to save our home.

    By the way, I loved his UCSD hat!

    As a side note, I found it a little hard to hear when the Dali Lama was speaking, even with my speakers turned up all the way. It was better when others were speaking. I guess he’s a little more soft spoken.
