How to Determine Your Screen Resolution and Download Wallpaper

PC Instructions:


1. Determine your screen resolution by right-clicking on your desktop. Select "Properties," then click the "Settings" tab. Your current screen resolution will be displayed, e.g., 800x600, 1024x768, etc.

2. Click on your appropriate wallpaper link. Right-click on the image that appears, then select the option: Set as Background.

Macintosh Instructions:


1. Determine the resolution of your computer screen:
  • Mac OS X: Select the Apple on the top left of your screen. Then select "System Preferences," and then select "Display" from the "Hardware" category. Your resolution is the one highlighted in the "Resolutions" list.
Find your file 2. Click on the proper screen resolution link below your desired image. Right-click the full-size image and save it to your hard drive or desktop.
 
3. Right-click or control-click your desktop and choose "Change your Desktop Background."
 
4.Find the downloaded image on your computer (most likely on your desktop) and choose that image.
 
5. Choose whether you would like the image centered or tiled on your desktop. Close preferences.
 
You should see your new Scripps Oceanography desktop.
